About This Project

The Railway Over Bridge at chainage 0+100 is a critical infrastructure project delivering a reinforced earth approach, PSC girder superstructure, and integrated retaining works. Chetan Engineers is executing foundation piling, pier construction, pier cap reinforcement, PSC girder shuttering, and multi-lift structural works to ensure safe rail corridor connectivity.

Scope of Work

Construction of a Railway Over Bridge including reinforced earth (RE) wall friction slabs, pier and pier cap works, PSC girder casting and shuttering, multi-lift pier construction, and associated structural steel reinforcement across the 0+100 chainage.

Engineering Challenges

  • Working adjacent to an active railway corridor requiring strict safety protocols
  • Coordinating RE wall deshuttering with simultaneous steel reinforcement activities
  • Managing PSC girder shuttering precision for long-span structural elements
  • Executing multi-lift pier construction with continuous quality assurance

Construction Methodology

  • Staged RE wall construction with friction slab concreting and controlled deshuttering cycles
  • Pier cap reinforcement using dedicated steel fixing teams with engineered lift plans
  • PSC girder shuttering in a controlled casting environment with dimensional checks
  • Daily progress reporting with labour strength tracking and programme adherence
